Federal Minister for Social Welfare and Special Education, Samina Khalid Ghurki has said that restoration of judges was the victory of people and media played its due role in raising the voice of nation. "Restoration of deposed judges was a timely decision in right direction and through this decision PPP fulfilled its promise of an independent judiciary in the country," Samina Ghurki said here Monday while talking to APP.
She said that Pakistan Peoples Party is the name of a party that belongs to masses and it rendered unmatched sacrifices in past for the democracy. "The decision of restoring the judges was the need of hour and it will strengthen democratic institutions in the country, bringing political stability in the country," she added.
The government took this step for the nation with the support of its allies and the process of dialogue will continue in the democratic government of PPP, she remarked. Besides the issue of independence judiciary, the country was facing many other crisis and the PPP led government is endeavouring to resolve all other issues.
