Controller of Examination, Karachi Board of Secondary Education, Syed Jawed Iftikhar has notified all concerned that the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Annual Examination-2009 Science and General Groups (Regular and Private) is scheduled from March 20, 2009.
Approximately 2,92,000 candidates would appear in the said examination, including 1,06,000 candidates in Class X Science (Boys 63,000 and 43,000 Girls), 1,09,000 in Class IX Science (Boys 67,000 and 42,000 Girls), in Class X General (Regular) 33,000 (Boys 9,000 and Girls 24,000), 31,000 in Class IX General Group (Regular) (Boys 8,000 and Girls 23,000), 6000 in Class X General Group (Private) (Boys 2,500 and Girls 3,500) and Class IX General (Private) 7,000 (3,000 Boys and 4,000 Girls).
As many as 476 Examination Centres (Boys 264 and Girls 212) have been made in this regard. An examination centre has also fixed at the Karachi Central Jail for prisoner candidates.
Ten Special Vigilance Teams and more 170 Teams (95 for Boys Centres and 75 for Girls Centres) have also formed to inspect the examination centres. 150 Group Leaders would deliver the sealed Cover Packet of Question Papers to all the Examination Centres. An examination reporting cell have been established in Board of Secondary Education, Karachi under the supervision of Ameenuddin, Deputy Controller of Examination and Imran Tariq, Assistant Controller of Examination to attend and to solve the complains received form Examination Centres. In case of emergency, they could be contacted on telephone nos. 9260278, 9260277, 9260252 to 9260256 Ext. No 346 and 347.
