The illegally detained leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement, Ghulam Muhammad Mir has said that the settlement of Kashmir dispute in accordance with Kashmiris aspirations is imperative for maintaining permanent peace in South Asia.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Ghulam Muhammad Mir was talking to a party delegation led by General Secretary Zafar Khurshid Mirza that met him at Apalo Hospital of New Delhi. Ghulam Muhammad Mir has been admitted to the hospital last month after a paralyse attack at notorious Amphala jail of Jammu.
He emphasised the delegates to continue liberation struggle till its success as amicable and negotiated solution of Kashmir dispute could normalise relations between the two neighbouring nuclear countries besides bringing peace in the region.
The illegally detained APHC leader also appealed the world community and international human rights organisations to put pressure on India to stop gross human rights violations by Indian occupation troops on the people of occupied Kashmir.
