Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has said that freedom is a big blessing and it is our responsibility to respect it and keep its requirements in view so that we could create a status in the comity of world nations as deserved by free nations.
"An exemplary law and order, development in every field and priorities of health and education are our mission and our future lay in their successful attainment," he said in a message on the occasion of Pakistan Day.
He said that only six decades back the Muslims of South Asia gathered under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammed Al Jinnah and foundation of a country was laid which was a Muslim state, free from religious, cultural, and linguistic prejudices.
This foundation was laid at Iqbal Park (Minto park) on March 23, 1940 and on this foundation a great Muslim state came into being which is today known as Islamic democratic Pakistan. The governor said that now when Pakistan has emerged as an important power on the world map, a great responsibility lies on us to make it so stronger that enemy may not cast a evil eye on it.
He said we all have to work hard day and night for attainment of objective for which Pakistan was achieved and face the coming challenges.
