Noted historian and Director of National Institute of Historical Cultural Research (NIHCR), Islamabad, Dr Khurram Qadir, has said that research work of Pakistani scholars is not worthy enough to respond the western scholars, as our scholars are not able to counter them effectively.
He expressed his views while delivering lecture on Post Partition trends in the study of history and Pakistani culture organised by Pakistan Study Centre, University of Sindh, on Thursday.
The Vice Chancellor of Sindh University, Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, presided over while large number of scholars of different fields, including history, archaeology and education were present on the occasion.
Dr Khuram said that local scholars have not contributed enough work on the history after partition while people outside Pakistan have produced lots of books and are interested what is happening in Pakistan.
