A division bench of Supreme Court comprising Justices Ejaz-ul-Hassan Khan and Muhammad Qaim Jan Khan will hear pending cases in SC Quetta Registry from March 24, a senior SC official told here APP on Sunday. The bench was constituted by the CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry soon after he assumed the charge of his office as CJ of the Apex Court on Sunday.
According to the daily roster issued by SC Quetta, the bench will hear 15 cases daily during the next week. Hearing of cases could not take place after judicial crisis when the CJP was sacked after proclamation of emergency on November 3, 2007. The massive pending cases were lying in SC Quetta Registry as no bench heard any case after October 10, 2007 in the city Registry.
