AJK Prime Minister Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan signed a Memorandum of Understanding MOU) with Executive Director of Javed Medical complex, Dr Mrs Shehla Javed Akram for establishing the first ever medical college in Muzaffarabad under private public partnership here Sunday.
The AJK cabinet ministers including finance Minister Ch. Latif Akbar, Minister for Zakat and Usher Muhammad Hanif Awan, minister for social welfare Noreen Arif, besides the President of MC Raja Farooq Haidar, DG health Dr Qurban Mir, ED AIMS Dr Bashir Kanth, doctors and other high ranking government officials were also present on the occasion.
Sardar Yaqoob, while speaking on the occasion said that it is a moment of pleasure for the people of Azad Kashmir that a medical college is being established in private sector in Muzaffarabad, which was the demand of the people for many years. He said that AJK govt is providing 200 kanal of land in this regard. AJK PM expressed the hope that this project would be completed without any delay, while keeping in view the international standard.
