An employee of Field Works Organisation (FWO) was killed while his two other colleagues got bullet wounds when armed assailants sprayed their vehicle with volley of bullets, on Gichki Chowk in Khuzdar district, some 200 kilometers off here, on Sunday, police sources said.
They said that the FWO functionaries were passing from Khuzdar when armed assailants ambushed their vehicle. As result one employee Muhammad Boota was killed on the spot while his two other colleagues sustained injuries. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. They have been identified as Faqeer Hussain and Junaid. The armed assailants after firing fled away from the scene and succeeded in evading arrest.
The FWO is construction company of army working on road construction projects in parts of Balochistan. Area police officials have registered a case against unknown men and started investigation.
