Investment under Continuous Funding System (CFS) at Karachi share market increased by 34.9 percent during the week ended on March 21, 2009 to settle at Rs 1.01 billion on Friday as compared to Rs 752 million of previous week. "The political clarity and improving macro indicators encouraged the investors to take fresh positions in the share market during the week", analysts said.
The CFS rate also increased by 1.05pps to 14.93 percent from previous weeks 13.88 percent due to increase in demand for financing. The top 5 scrips by CFS investment were OGDC, NBP, PPL, MCB and Engro, cumulatively accounting for 59 percent of the total CFS investment during the week.
