President Barack Obama says he will make sure the United States stays on the offensive in the war in Afghanistan. Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Tuesday, the president was giving no details of his administrations review of how to proceed in Afghanistan. Details of that review are expected to be announced shortly.
Obama says the United States cannot allow ``vicious killers to have their way and establish a haven in Afghanistan. He said US forces would do what is required. The president also says he anticipates a more focused, disciplined and co-ordinated effort with coalition forces in Afghanistan. Obama says he understands how much the sacrifice of troops weighs on the public in all nations.
