PTCL in association with Etisalat is enthusiastically planning to develop a lasting relationship with Pakistani cricket and results of this endeavour would soon become visible. This was stated by President and CEO PTCL, Walid Irshaid in a meeting with Pakistani Cricket Team Captain Younus Khan at the PTCL Headquarter.
Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) in collaboration with Etisalat UAE has decided to take the initiative to resuscitate and revitalise the game of cricket in Pakistan. This mutually friendly relation with Pakistani cricket team would be beneficial for both organisations, the president said.
During the meeting with Captain Younus Khan, President Walid Irshaid also said that "As a major IT and economic player in Pakistan, PTCL, considers its corporate responsibility to help raise the spirit of the Pakistani people and provide full assistance to the Pakistani cricket team to ensure that the forthcoming Pakistan-Australia series in Dubai ends in a success for the Pakistani team and revives the spirit of the game in the country".
Reiterating his support for the national team, he congratulated and praised Younus Khan on his recent triple century against Sri Lanka and passed on the good wishes for the forthcoming Pakistan-Australia series. Walid Irshaid also expressed grief and concern over the attack on Sri Lankan team in Lahore. Younus Khan expressed gratitude to the Management of PTCL and Etisalat for their well wishes and anticipated support.-PR
