Swiss franc a touch softer

The Swiss franc was a touch softer against the euro and the dollar ahead of updated economic forecasts from Switzerlands leading research institute KOF. The KOF Swiss Economic Institute, which turned negative on the Swiss economy in December, is likely to give a much bleaker economic outlook and to bring its forecast in line with the central bank and the government.
The franc was 0.1 percent lower against the euro compared to late New York trading, hovering at 1.525 per euro. The franc was 0.1 percent down against the dollar at 1.1216 per dollar.
