Malaysian High Commissioner to Pakistan Ahmad Shehzan Bin Abdul Samad called on President Pakistan Muslim League-N Mian Shahbaz Sharif on Friday and discussed various matters of mutual interests. Sources told Business Recorder that during the meeting countrys economic situation and matters concerning war on terrorism came under discussion.
Shahbaz told the Malaysian diplomat that Pakistan is paying heavy price of war against terrorism while its economy is badly affected due to disturbed law and order situation. Moreover, Shahbaz Sharif told reporters at Raiwind that restoration of judiciary was the first step, which had been achieved successfully. Now, we are focusing on second phase of the struggle, which is for countrys progress and prosperity, he said.
Shahbaz said his party Quaid Nawaz Sharif was ready for unconditional support to President Asif Ali Zardari but no compromise would be made on principles. He said that Nawaz Sharif is waging a just struggle for countrys stability and prosperity.
The PML-N President said that PML-N would ensure implementation of Charter of Democracy in the interest of the country and nation. He said countrymen were eyeing presidential address to the parliament, and would see what announcements the President would make in his address.
