A local NGO challenged the ban on pillion riding in Karachi by filing a constitution petition before Sindh High Court (SHC). The petition was filed by Human Rights Network. The petitioner maintained that ban on pillion riding was being extended without any reason, as no changed has been observed so far in crime rate, adding that middle class people are facing hardship due to the ban.
He prayed to the court to direct the respondents for lifting the ban.
