Human resources software provider OneClickHR is close to announcing deals with up to seven bluechip clients for its software HR.net, Chief Executive Frank Beechinor told Reuters on Friday.
The firm, which has recently signed new clients including Hilton Hotels, Rentokil Initial, and EMI Music, earlier said it swung to a year 2008-year pretax profit of 304,000 pounds ($435,300), from a 2007 loss of 46,000 pounds.
"Sales are up, profits are up, and were generating cash. And it hasnt stopped; these are the numbers we put out for 2008, and the trend is continuing into 2009," Beechinor told Reuters in an interview. "Weve actually signed some deals which we havent announced yet and were in discussions with some more," he said, indicating the company will announce up to seven deals over the next month and beyond.
OneClickHR, which Beechinor describes as the "easyJet of the HR software world" on account of its low cost base, launched HR.net just over two years ago, offering a cheaper alternative to rival companies software for clients up against tough economic conditions.
"For a proper multi-national product, the only options in the past would have been PeopleSoft or Oracle which would have cost millions," Beechinor said.
"If they come to us, we can give them that functionality and it costs maybe 100,000 pounds, which for us is a good deal and we make good money on that, but compared to the competition we offer great value.
