India on Monday while condemning the terror attack in Lahore said it is saddened and shocked by this gory act. We dont have full information. We are deeply concerned. We condemn the terrorist attack, Home Minister P Chidambaram told reporters. We condemn all terrorist attacks and offer our deepest sympathies to the people of Pakistan, he said.
When questioned, whether he saw a parallel between the Mumbai and Lahore attacks, Chidambaram said, There can be no parallel. The only commonality is that they are terror attacks. Expressing shock over the incident, External Affairs Minister, Pranab Mukherjee conveyed his sympathies to the members of the bereaved families.
Indian Foreign Secretary, Shivshankar Menon while briefing the newsmen on Monday at G-20 summit in his opening remarks said, India is saddened and shocked by Lahore terror attack. He hoped that Pakistan authorities would resolve the issue with minimum losses. Expressing sympathies with the members of the bereaved families, he said terrorism is a menace to the entire region.
