Equities witnessed broad-based erosion at the Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE) where bears remained in the front seat on Tuesday. ISE-10 Index was minus 49.26 points, as the index moved from 1,632.11 to 1,582.85 points. The overall turnover amounted to 3,079,706 shares as compared to previous turnover of 3,163,409 shares.
The horizon of trade expanded from 135 stocks to 139 companies. Majority of companies, 93 closed in negative territory and 44 closed in positive territory, whereas two companies remained glued to its overnight levels. The volume of OGDCL was 265,200 shares. The turnover of Arif Habib Securities was 253,800 shares. The volume of Maple Leaf Cement was 250,500 shares.
