US cocoa and arabica coffee futures reversed lower in early trade Friday, retracing gains after Thursdays climb in thin dealings ahead of the weekend, traders said. Arabica coffee for May delivery slipped 0.35 cent to $1.1645 per lb by 1313 GMT.
Ranged $1.1590 to $1.1750. May volume a light 2,315 lots. Rest were 0.10 cent higher to 0.40 cent lower. Benchmark July cocoa down $7 at $2,693 per tonne by 9:15 am. Ranged from $2,680 to $2,716. July volume at 1,124 lots. Rest were down $3 to $20.
