The Revenue and Estate Department NWFP with the approval of the Board of Revenue NWFP has cancelled the lease of state land Khasra No 899 measuring 3 kanals and 4 marlas situated at Mauza Larama Tehsil in favour of Mohammad Ajmal Khan S/O Naseeb Khan resident of Larama Charsadda Road Peshawar.
This lease agreement has been cancelled because the lessee has violated the terms and conditions of the approved lease agreement. This patch of land is of utmost commercial importance. Mohammad Ajmal Khan obtained this lease for establishing a nursery at the rate of Rs 9000/- per kanal annually. But the later on established a CNG Station and Service Station without seeking the approval of the competent authority and without paying a single extra penny.
Further more the lease was approved for 03 kanals, 4 marla whereas Mohammad Ahmal Khan occupied much more than this. It has caused a loss of million of rupees to the government exchequer. The Board of Revenue NWFP will release this land on a rate commensurate with its commercial importance.
The Board of Revenue NWFP has taken this step in order to streamline the leases of the state lands in response to the directions of the provincial government. The government is committed to eject all land grabbers. For this purpose, all the leases are being reviewed with a view to release them for generation of more revenue for the province.
