Pakistani students intending to pursue further or higher studies at UK education institutions would be facilitated to make their careers in the European country. In this connection, British Council (BC) and University of Warwick organised self-development workshops from the acclaimed WARWICK ADVANTAGE programme.
The moot was part of their continuous initiative to make UK education accessible to academics in Pakistan. Students and faculty members of twin cities leading institutions attended the sessions was held at FAST National University. Simon Hall from the University of Warwick conducted workshops on writing essays and research proposals and identified the development of skills required for successful academic and career placements.
Participants gained insights into key writing elements in the workshop on writing excellent essays. The My Attributes Workshop aimed at increasing self-awareness and areas for self-development to help participants in applying for education or employment.
The afternoon sessions guided participants on making the most of work experience and writing a research proposal. The participants included students and faculty from reputable schools, colleges and universities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
The academia found the workshops to be useful for them and their students. They were of the view that such workshops should be held regularly for enhancing their knowledge and exposure about education in UK. The University of Warwick is a top UK University with a strong focus on research, which is acclaimed and published world-wide.
