Divisional Commissioner Zahid Saeed has said that the public welfare projects initiated on the directions of Chief Minister Punjab should continue with full zeal and enthusiasm. He said that Sasti Roti, Green Tractor Schemes, measures for prevention of dengue fever, price control implementation of marriage functions (prohibition of ostentatious displays and wasteful expenses) ordinance 2000 as amended vide act-IV of 2006 and one dish wedding parties should be implemented effectively.
He said this while presiding over a meeting, which was attended by DCO Faisalabad Saeed Wahlah, DCO Jhang Asad Islam Mahni, DCO T. T. Singh Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf and other concerned officers.
Divisional Commissioner told that after receiving instructions from Provincial Government regarding the price of Roti at the rate of Rs 1/- implementation on it would start forthwith and will ensure that the benefits of this welfare scheme should provide to the poor and labours and any kind of negligence and pilferage in this regard would not be tolerated.
The DCOs concerned informed the chair about progress of Sasti Roti Scheme, provision of Green Tractors and other welfare and development projects being executed in their respective districts. It was also told in the meeting that 100 Sastay Tandoors have been added located in the industrial areas.
