The Karachi Port handled 277,764 tonnes of cargo including 204,704 tonnes of import and 73,060 tonnes of export, 5,823 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The freights comprised of 205,614 tonnes of dry cargo including 142,727 tonnes of general cargo; 7,784 tonnes of wheat; 26,100 tonnes of coal; 4,345 tonnes of fertiliser; 4,125 tonnes of scrap; 2,718 tonnes of rock phosphate; 17,813 tonnes of cement and 72,150 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Fifteen ships namely MSC Mee May, Al-Jaber IV, Caribbean Carrier 1, Mina, YM Improvement, Kadmos, H&H Wave, Ts Malaysia, Salem-1, Uni Angel, Salvia Express, Pacific Arrow, Blida, Hyundai Baron and Saigon Express sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Fifteen vessels viz Ts Malaysia, H&H Wave, Uni Angel, Saigon Express, Thomas Mann, Apl Balboa, Hanjin Port Adelaide, Shayan-1, Alexi-1, Al-Abdoulla, Bladia, Stvanger Vigor, BBC Leer and Oriental Protea are currently at the berths.
Seven ships namely Quetta, Shayan-1, Oriental Protea, Thomas Mann, Hanjin Port Adelaide, Chol San Bong Chong and Hatwing Scan expected to sail on Monday while two vessels viz BBC Leer and Hatwing Scan are expected to sail on Tuesday. Five vessels viz St. James Park, North Pole, Apl Atlantia, Raysut 1 and Alpha due to arrive on Monday while seven ships namely Ooncord, Tiger Speed, Oel Peace, Clear, Dina Queen, Flag Investor and Green Arrow are due to arrive on Tuesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 56,405 tonnes including 45,437 tonnes of import, 10,968 tonnes of export cargo and 1,678 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Monday.
The cargoes comprised of 25,057 tonnes of diesel oil; 2,599 tonnes of LPG; 1,280 tonnes of sun flower seeds; 3,885 tonnes of canola seeds; 1,156 tonnes of project cargo and 22,428 tonnes of containerised cargo. Five vessels CV Nord Winter, MT Jo Brevic, MT Olympic, CV Al-Manakh and MT St. Kitts sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while another two vessels viz CV MSC Sierra and MV Hyundai Rhino are expected to sail on Monday.
A total of five ships namely Royal Emerald, Ginga Tiger, Clipper Daisy, Puja Wati and Glovanna Tuliano carrying chemicals, phosphoric acid, palm oil and sun flower seeds respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV Al-Manakh, CV MSC Sierra, MV Sea Pride, MV Jiali Hai, MV Hyundai Rhino, MT Al-Salam-II and MT St. Kitts are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, canola seeds, sun flower seeds, project cargo, diesel oil and LPG respectively during the report period.
Four ships namely CV Maersk Virgina, CV Jifar, MT Puja Wati and MT Royal Emerald carrying containers, palm oil and chemicals are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Monday. Eleven vessels viz Khairpur, Win Canton, Gas Emerald, Genie, Al-Soor-II, Marinor, Adams, Abyot, Shobelle, Lady Nariman and Eldore-I carrying rice, chemicals, furnace oil, diesel oil and cement are due to arrive.
