Nazim Karachi, Syed Mustafa Kamal has requested the President of Pakistan, Asif Zardari, Prime Minister, Yousaf Raza Gilani and the Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah to pay attention to the poor financial condition of the City District Government Karachi (CDGK). A press release issued by the CDGK on Wednesday said.
In an appeal to the President, PM and CM Sindh, he said that the government during the last three months has curtailed nearly Rs 590 million in the CDGKs share, which would largely affect the ongoing development works in Karachi. The cut would also affect the hospitals of the CDGK as they are running out of medicines, while the city government has not enough funds to pay salaries to its employees.-PR
