Heidanorie Wieczorrek-Zeulm, Minister for Economic Co-operation and Development, Federal Republic of Germany on the Afghan Refugees and RAHA initiative called on the Federal Minister for SAFRON Najmuddin Khan in his office here Wednesday, and discussed matters relating to Afghan Refugees.
Joint Secretary, Ministry of SAFRON Imranzeb Khan briefed the German Minister about the future plan and functions of SAFRON Ministry on Afghan Refugees and RAHA. German Minister has pledged an amount of 10 million Euros for RAHA initiative on behalf of Federal Republic of Germany. She said that it would be disbursed either through the UN initiative or bilaterally through EAD and would be a Part of the overall 80 million Euros pledge made for the Government of Pakistan.
Federal Minister for SAFRON thanked the German Minister for their co-operation and apprised of the Governments Perspective and policy regarding Afghan Refugees and RAHA. He said that Germany is our close friend and is a big donor partner of Pakistan in every sector.
The meeting was attended by the German Ambassador, representatives of the German Development Agencies and KFW, and others high officials of SAFRON Ministry.-PR
