President, Mall Road Traders Association (MRTA), Raja Hamid Riaz, has demanded that elections of the traders should be held either at the end of April or first week of May. He was addressing a press conference along with the Chairman MRTA Suhail Mahmood Butt.
Raja Hamid further announced that Suhail Mahmood Butt would be the presidential candidate for the election, adding that MRTA is the representative of the traders for the past 40 years. Meanwhile, Sohail Mahmood Butt said that after electing as the president he would stop the hanging of banners by different organisations on the Mall road, as MRTA is a non-political organisation working for the welfare of the traders, adding that no one or any group would be allowed to exploit the traders.
