Regional Police Officer (RPO) Chaudhry Abdul Majeed said that the Police have been put on high alert to tackle any possible act of terrorism, however, the civil society should extend all out co-operation to make these security arrangements a success. He was addressing a meeting in CPLC office here Friday.
He stated that keeping in view recent terrorist threat to Faisalabad all necessary security arrangements have been beefed to safeguard the lives and properties of the citizens. He further said that he himself monitoring the performance of police staff to ensure foolproof security arrangements and has visited Jhang and T. T. Singh in this connection. He informed that a "rapid response force" have been constituted in the Region to deal with any kind of mishap. He apprised the participant of the details of additional security arrangements. He further informed that strict checking was also being carried out at entry and exit points of the city.
City Police Officer Ahmed Mubarak briefed the meeting about arrangement in Faisalabad. He said that all SHOs have been directed to prepare their effective security plan and send to him. He further informed that reserve force had been kept of in alert position at police line headquarters.
Members of CPLC, Business Community and Media personals gave their suggestions to tackle the menace of terrorism. At the end RPO stated that he himself would interact with all segments of society to get their views about security arrangements.
