Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is offering its most frequent customers the opportunity to upgrade their seats at the airport before they fly. With the introduction of instant upgrades, passengers have the opportunity to upgrade to a higher class at the airport as long as passengers have the required number of miles, there is sufficient time before a flight departs and seats are available.
For passengers flying from any Pakistani destination, Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar to London, for example, the miles that will be redeemed by Etihad Guest members for an upgrade from economy to business class would be 37,000 miles.
Barry Green, Etihad Airways head of customer relationship management and loyalty, said: "We are always looking for ways to improve our service and this is another example of how we are adding great value to what Etihad Airways already delivers to its frequent flyers. "Being upgraded at the airport is a wonderful experience. This facility is one which people can choose to utilise as and when they feel like it and is a reward for their loyalty to Etihad Airways."-PR
