The 3rd undergraduate convocation of Nust School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (Seecs) was held here on Saturday at the newly built Nust Campus at H-12, Islamabad. Senator Muhammad Azam Khan Swati, Federal Minister for Science and Technology was the Chief Guest.
Distinguished guests from academia, government departments and corporate centres also attended the ceremony at which 170 students graduating were awarded degrees. Outstanding graduates were given gold medals and certificates of merit. In addition to President and Rector gold medals, seven gold medals sponsored by Techaccess, Computer Society of Pakistan, Dell Asia Pacific, Ikonomi Private Ltd, Jin Technologies, SPS, Techionics were also awarded to students adjudged on the basis of criteria mutually agreed between Seecs and the sponsoring agencies.
The Minister, in his address lauded the contributions of Nust towards promotion of quality engineering education in Pakistan. Nusts proud entry to the galaxy of 400 top universities of the world will not only spur this magnificent university on to still greater attainments in the day to come but it will also inspire other universities to emulate its example, the minister expressed.-PR
