Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Chief Altaf Hussain on Sunday, terming the unity among all parties in Pakistan as need of the hour said the country is passing through a critical phase. He was addressing via telephone from London the participants of a protest rally taken out by his party against alleged murders of Baloch leaders, at Mazar-e- Quaid here.
The MQM Chief also strongly condemned the alleged murder of three Baloch leaders. Altaf Hussain also called for a high-level judicial probe into the alleged murder of three Baloch leaders. He also called upon the government to arrest the culprits and punish them publicly without any discrimination in accordance with the constitution and law.
Altaf Hussain said that whether as a part of government or not, his party has always raised voice against injustice. He deplored that the major political and religious parties in Pakistan stage protests for their own interests but they remain silent on prejudice with the people.
MQM Chief termed the alleged murder of three Baloch leaders as a conspiracy to mar their struggles for the rights of the masses. Altaf Hussain said Baloch people are not alone in these moments of grief and he himself, his party as well as all Haq Parast people in the country are with them.
Earlier, Federal Minister and Deputy Convenor MQM Rabita Committee, Dr Farooq Sattar also addressed. The participants of the rally including men, women, youths and children, were carrying placards and banners in their hands and chanting slogans against alleged murder of Baloch leaders. MQM Chief also prayed for the departed souls of the killed Baloch leaders and said their struggles for the rights of people will always be remembered.
