Sufi Muhammad, chief of the banned Tehrik Nifaz-e-Shariat Muhammadi (TNSM), on Sunday called the highest judiciary as un-Islamic and called for the withdrawal of all judges from Malakand by April 23. Addressing a huge rally at Grassy Ground Sufi Muhammad declared the Supreme and High Courts against Islam and said that faith and prayers of the people are also doubtful in the absence of Islamic system in the country.
On this occasion, Skeikh-ul-Quran, Maulana Wali-u-Allah Balgrami, District Swat Ameer, Maulana Abdul Haq, District Bunir Ameer, Maulana Salaar, Lower Dir Ameer, Maulana Sami-u-Allah, Upper Dir Ameer, Maulana Bacha Zeb Leader of district Shangla, Maulana Muhammad Fayaz, Leader of Kohistan District, Maulana Noor Nabi also addressed the gathering.
"Nizam-e-Adl" Regulations were enforced in the insurgency-hit Swat valley and Malakand division in the North West Frontier Province, Sufi Muhammad entered into a deal with the government in February. He said rulers of Pakistan were formed of parties while people split into different parties and opposing each other.
Sufi Muhammad said there is no thing like government in Malakand division. "I want all the judges in Malakand division must withdraw from the area and form Appellate Court (Dar-ul-Qaza) in each district by April 23 and appoint Qazi in all districts with in month. If they did not the government will responsible for any consequences," Sufi said.
He said that only Qazi have the right to deliver verdicts and no other judge has the right to work in the region. He also said that appeal against the verdicts of Qazis' decisions will be an un-Islamic act.
About the former efforts for Nizam-e-Adl he said former governments of PPP and Nawaz had also announced the imposition of Nizam-e-Adl only in words which were rejected. Sufi Muhammad said while congratulating the ANP government that ANP had proved their devotion to Islam and Pakistan by announcing Nizam-e-Adl in Malakand and Kohistan district.
Sufi warned that the government will be responsible of the bloodshed if the peace deal was failed. The cleric did not make any appeal to the Taliban-linked militants to lay down arms, which was expected as he had termed the rally as peace move.
