The Karachi Port handled 196,470 tonnes of cargo including 160,501 tonnes of import and 35,969 tonnes of export, 3,703 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The freights comprised of 117,240 tonnes of dry cargo including 69,513 tonnes of general cargo; 3,601 tonnes of fertiliser; 10,746 tonnes of cement; 4,996 tonnes of scrap; 28,984 tonnes of coal and 79,230 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely viz Bunga Raya Dua, Mol Fortune, LTC Calvin Pititus, OrinicoRiver, United Prosperity, Miss Lucy and Alexi 1 sailed out to sea during the reported period. Seven vessels KI Al Waleed, Bunga Raya Dua, Al Noof, Apl Dalian, Goldenrod, Raysut 1 and Maliau are currently at the berths to load/offload containers, steel, cement and chemicals respectively. Three ships namely Apl Dalian, Maliau and Quetta are expected to sail on Tuesday, while seven more ships namely Raysut 1, Grigorpan, Kota Hapas, Sima Sahba, Anna L, H&H Tide and Gulf Ahmadi are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Tow vessels viz Kota Hapas and AN San carrying containers, cement and rice are due to arrive on Tuesday. While seven ships Sewak, Hyundai Commodore, Wah Hai 510, Apl Sharjah, Annita, Princess Layan and Thor Champion are due to arrive on Wednesday carrying containers, coal and steel coils.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 116,930 tonnes including 94,311 tonnes of import, 22,619 tonnes of export cargo and 2,997 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Tuesday. The cargoes comprised of 49,789 tonnes of diesel oil; 16,937 tonnes of coal; 3,360 tonnes of rice; 5,363 tonnes of cement and 41,481 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Two ships namely MV Beluga Intonation and MSC Bulgaria sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. While two more ships Nord Venus and Maersk Ohio are expected to sail on Tuesday. Total eight ships namely CV Maersk Ohio, CV NSC Bulgaria, MV Abyot, MV Orbit, MV Khairpur, MV Fu Da, MT Nord Venus and MV Filippo Lembo occupied the berth at PQA terminals to load/offload containers, cement, rice, canola seeds, diesel oil and coal respectively during reported period.
A total of four ships namely Marmar, Orient-III, Leopard-B and Adams carrying cement are currently at the outer anchorage. Four ships namely CV Nedlloyed America, CV CSAV Jura, MT Belsize Park and MT Al Salam-II are expected to take berths at QICT, EVTL and Fotco Terminal respectively on Tuesday. Four more ships viz MC Sea Venture, MT Gas Emperor, MT SC Lioaning and MT Iron Monger-3 to load/off load rice, chemicals, palm oil and furnace oil, are scheduled to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
