Five persons including three members of a family were killed while two others sustained injuries in a collision between a car, a truck and a motorcycle near Khorri on GT Road on Sunday. According to police, Dr Tariq along with his sons and friends was going to Gujranwala from Lahore by a car (LED-3067).
When he reached near Khorri his car collided with a truck coming from opposite direction due to over speeding. As a result Dr Tariq, his two sons Junaid Tariq advocate, Hamad Tariq and two others Ilyas and Ahmed died on the spot. In the meantime two motorcycle riders who were coming behind the truck also rammed their two-wheeler into the truck. As a result both of them sustained injuries. They were rushed to a hospital in Muridke. Police are investigating.
