The profit after tax of Adamjee Insurance Company Limited has increased to Rs 441.444 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2009 as compared to Rs 88.425 million, earned in the corresponding period in 2008. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Monday declared that the company's earning per share increased to Rs 4.32 in the period under review against Re 0.86 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results, the company's net premium revenue increased to Rs 1.779 billion in this period against Rs 1.620 billion in the same period a year back. The net claims were at Rs 1.138 billion against Rs 1.401 billion in the corresponding period in 2008. The company's profit before tax was recorded at Rs 480.478 million in three months period this year against Rs 102.890 million in the same period last year.
