The profit after tax of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has slightly declined to Rs 325.897 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2009 as compared to Rs 336.499 million earned in the corresponding period in 2008.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting declared that the company's earning per share has decreased to Re 0.59 in the period under review against Re 0.61 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results, the company's gas sales increased to Rs 42.094 billion in this period against Rs 29.796 billion in the same period last year. The company's cost of gas sold increased to Rs 39.872 billion against Rs 28.756 billion. The company's profit before tax declined to Rs 513.717 million in the three month period in 2009 against Rs 524.400 million in the same period last year.
