Philippines share prices closed 1.06 percent lower on Tuesday due to global concerns over the swine flu outbreak and a fall on Wall Street, dealers said. The composite index lost 22.13 points to close at 2,063.50 while the all-shares index gave up 0.88 percent to 1,342.2. Volume amounted to 1.111 billion shares worth 1.601 billion pesos (32.88 million dollars).
There were only 27 gainers against 74 losers and 46 that were unchanged. Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co fell 0.23 percent to 2,175 pesos while Filinvest Land Inc dropped 3.92 percent to 49 centavos. However International Container Terminal Services Inc gained two percent to 12.75 pesos.
