Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) has formulated its promotion and careers planning committee, here on Tuesday. According to Pims spokesman Director Administration Dr Minhaj us Siraj after approval from the Executive Director has issued the office order.
The committee constitutes of Dr Amjad Chaudhry as a chairman and Dr Sohail Tanveer, Dr Inayat Adil, Dr Kalsoom Akhter, Dr Ghulam Mustafa and Dr Rana Irfan as members. While Professor Rauf Niazi, Dr Abdul Qadeer Nursing superintendents of all components and Dr Shahid khatak will be co opted members.
Committee will scrutinise all the fresh promotion cases in the light of prevailing promotion rules, follow-up the promotion cases already under process in ministry of health and Pims, review and propose improvements in the career structure of all cadres. Meanwhile one more office order has been issued by the director administration regarding authorisation for exemption of fee for all laboratory tests.
It is decided that the MRI and CT Scan will be done free of cost if recommended by specialist, deputy director and the director administration. Similarly angiography, test costing more than one thousand rupees will be done free on the recommendation of concerned specialist, deputy director and deputy executive director medical. Whereas the entire laboratory tests below Rs 1000 will be done free, recommended by the specialist concerned and the deputy director of the concerned area.-PR
