A weeklong training course on "Livestock Productivity Enhancement" began in the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore on Tuesday. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Nawaz inaugurated the training course sponsored by the EU-assisted Strengthening of Livestock Services Project.
Officers from the Livestock and Dairy Development Department Balochistan are attending this course aimed at capacity building of the professionals on how to enhance livestock production.
Speaking on the occasion, the vice-chancellor said that the university is executing a variety of training courses for the capacity building of livestock professionals coming from every part of the country. He said that the UVAS has the best faculty and infrastructure for arranging such capacity-building training programmes.
ICE&E Director Dr Salah-ud-Din said that the training course focuses on livestock productivity enhancement and farm economics. This is the third batch of livestock professionals from Balochistan undergoing the capacity building training at the UVAS.
