The Karachi Port handled 123,033 tonnes of cargo including 89,438 tonnes of import and 33,595 tonnes of export, 3,457 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The freights comprised of 91,781 tonnes of dry cargo including 50,611 tonnes of general cargo; 4,290 tonnes of fertiliser; 21,376 tonnes of cement; 15,504 tonnes of coal and 31,252 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Eight ships namely viz Amber K, Calmy Carol, Misc Darlington, Pacific Diamond, Al Ihsaa, Arcadia, Apl Pusan and Breeze sailed out to sea during the reported period. Ten vessels namely Pacific Diamond, Hansa Sonderburg, Northern HarmonyApl Sokhna, Apl Chicago, Nantor, Bow Prosper, Orfeas, Iron Butterfly and Josco Taizhou are currently at the berths to load/offload containers, urea, soyabean oil, naphtha, cargo and coal respectively.
Three ships namely Apl Sokhna, Lucky Carrier and Northern Harmony are expected to sail on Wednesday, while another ship namely Bow Prosper is expected to sail on Thursday.
Seven vessels viz Stolt VanguardSamin 1, Wan Hai 501, Uni Angel, Christina, Raysut 1 and Charelle carrying jet oil, containers, cement and general cargo due to arrive on Wednesday. While five more ships Fabulous, Pac Antlia, H&H Tide, TS Qingdao and Windsor Castle are due to arrive on Thursday carrying clinker, containers, and steel respectively.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 86,204 tonnes including 57,339 tonnes of import, 28,865 tonnes of export cargo and 2,784 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Wednesday.
The cargoes comprised of 23,112 tonnes of furnace oil; 4,000 tonnes of palm oil; 2,250 tonnes of chemicals; 11,912 tonnes of coal; 4,125 tonnes of seeds; 1,712 tonnes of rice; 3,297 tonnes of cement and 35,796 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Three ships namely CV Maersk Montana, MT Pramoni and MT Sichem Marseille sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. While two more ships MV Ocean Beauty and CV Nedlloyed Europe are expected to sail on same day.
Eight ships namely CV Nedlloyed Europe, MV Ocean Beauty, MV Orbit, MV Aigeorgis, MT Sichem Marseille, MT Pramoni, MT Vema Ocean and MV Annoula occupied the berth at PQA terminals to load/offload containers, rice, cement, canola seeds, chemicals, palm oil, furnace oil and coal respectively during reported period.
Ten ships namely ACX Crystal, Ju Da, Sichem Eva, Denny-Z, Admas, Bolan, Princess Layan, Marmar, Orient-III and Leopard-B carrying canola seeds, palm oil, rice and cement are currently at the outer anchorage. Five ships namely CV CMA CGM Berlioz, CV ACX Crystal-V, MV Admas, MV Leopard-B and MT Sichem Eva are expected to take berths at QICT, M-W and LCT respectively on Wednesday.
