Turkish consumer inflation is expected to have slowed in April due to falling energy and commodity prices, a Reuters poll showed on Wednesday. The consumer price index (CPI) is seen rising 0.72 percent month on month compared to a rise of 1.10 percent in March.
The producer price index (PPI) is expected to have risen 0.55 percent in April, the poll showed, compared to a gain of 0.29 percent in March. In a survey of 17 analysts the April month-on-month CPI forecasts ranged between a rise of 0.20 percent and 1.00 percent. The median 2009 inflation forecasts were 6.30 percent for CPI and 5.50 percent for PPI.
