Dilip Kumar shifted to ICU in critical condition

Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar who was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital on Wednesday has suffered a health setback. He was shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) with kidney-related complications on Thursday.

“His kidney functions have not improved. On the contrary, it has worsened. He is on the ventilator. We will be able to give a proper briefing in the morning,” Dr Jalil Parker who is treating Kumar, said in a statement to DNA India. The actor initially complained of dehydration and urine tract infection.

Wife Saira Banu said, “We have to pray he recovers soon. He should be well Inshallah! God willing. The doctors are treating him”.

The actor is 94, and has been plagued with health-related issues since a few years. Fans immediately took to social networking sites to wish the legendary actor a speedy recovery.
