A delegation of MNAs and Senators belonging to Swat, Dir, Buner and Shangla called on Prime Minister, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani at the PM's House here on Thursday and apprised him of the ground situation in their areas with particular reference to the violations of Nizam-e-Adl regulation by TNSM.
The Prime Minister said that strong measures will be taken to restore peace and order in the affected areas. He said the government is aware of the problems being faced by the displaced persons and told them that Rs 500 million has been approved for the relief activities of the displaced persons.
The Prime Minister said the government would devise a proper system for providing immediate relief in the form of food and shelter to the displaced persons and said that he would himself monitor the relief activities in concerned areas on daily basis.
He said the federal government would extend all support to the provincial government for restoring law and order. The parliamentarians informed the Prime Minister that people of their areas want the security forces to take strong action to curb the militants and terrorists and restore law and order.
They appreciated the Prime Minister for pulling the nation out of the challenges on March 16th and expressed the confidence that he would again be able to steer the country out of the current turmoil.
