Hoti decides to monitor relief activities in IDP camps

The NWFP Chief Minister Ameer Haidar Khan Hoti has decided to commence regular review meetings for continuous monitoring of relief activities underway in the IDPs camps in the province. The process of provision of food, shelter and other basic needs of life to the victims in various camps in Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshehra and Peshawar will thoroughly be analysed in order to compensate the difficulties on time rather to effectively channelise the process.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting and later in discussions with various delegations of affected districts. The Chief Minister said that facing the biggest challenge with grace and elegance is the top priority of the provincial government and the people of the province. The difficulties for clearing the country from terrorism and sacrifices of the IDPs leaving their homes and valuable assets will never go waste.
The provincial government will never leave them all alone in this hour of need and all resources will be utilised for this purpose on need basis, Hoti declared. He assured the IDPs that the assistance of provincial government, International donor agencies, and welfare organisation and above all the Pakistani people are with them.
The Chief Minister said that due to the increase in number of the IDPs building of government schools can also be utilised as camps for the IDPs. He said that irrespective of departments busy in making budget and ADP all other departments have been directed to thoroughly monitor the assistance activities and visit the camps regularly.
Moreover vast area associated with Jalozai camp has been hired on rent for expanding the camp. He further added that 70 percent of 12 lakh IDPs have been living outside the camps in the houses of their relatives adding that arrangements for their registration have been made.
The Chief Minister stressed on public representatives and political workers to assist the IDPs and government officials for making their registration process transparent. He said that the task is much difficult for which effective and collective efforts are required. Members of the delegations assured their support and favoured the decisions of clearing the region from miscreants.
