A spokesman of the NWFP government has strongly condemned militants, who on Friday looted a number of banks, cloth shops and general stores in Mingora City, the District Headquarters of Swat.
The spokesman on Saturday condemned the militants for using heavy weapons, especially large caliber mortars in attacks on offices and residences of the Commissioner and DIG Malakand, which caused large collateral damage to innocent residents of Mingora and destruction to their property.
He said all this is happening despite the fact that the government has not yet launched any action in Mingora City. These actions on part of militants, the spokesman said, have revealed their true designs, which are that of dacoits, looters, and whose aims are to establish themselves as warlords, and as such are least interested in the welfare of the people or in Nizam-i-Adl.
