The Karachi Port handled 255,468 tonnes of cargo including 189,088 tonnes of import and 66,380 tonnes of export, 5,297 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday. The freights comprised of 189,258 tonnes of dry cargo including 114,258 tonnes of general cargo; 2,516 tonnes of fertiliser; 23,957 tonnes of cement; 30,832 tonnes of coal.
10,190 tonnes of clinker; 1,841 tonnes of rice, 5,474 tonnes of wheat and 66,400 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Five ships namely viz Smouth Hound, Coral, Eshahenn Al Ghanim, Fusion 1, Al Aqeela II, Nentor, YM Improvement, Adriatic Arrow, Southern Unicorn, Quetta, Bavaria Express, Hanjin Qingdao, An San and Hyundai Baron sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Nineteen vessels namely Bavaria Express, Hanjin Qingdao, Mol Fortune, Mol Ability, TS Xingang, Bunga Raya Stu, Michalis K, Al Karim M, River Globe, Banglar Maya, Markovo, Valente Ace, Kota Handal, Valbella, Team Al Emirates, Southern Unicorn, Johar, Gizemdeniz Sultan and Island Star are currently at the berths respectively.
Six ships namely Mol Fortune, Addarraq, Bunga Raya Satu, TS Xingang, J friend and Vabella are expected to sail on Monday, while five more ships River Globe, MT Johar, Al Karim M, Jasmine Ace and Hammurabi are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Eight vessels viz SC Liaoning, Apl Brisbane, LTC Calvin P Titus, Gabion, Nothern Harmony, Osprey 1, Sea Green and Gulber B due to arrive on Monday, carrying orthoxylene, containers, coal and cement respectively. While five more ships CE pacific, Gulf Tiger, Apl Sharjah, Ashraf B and Bright Dream are due to arrive on Tuesday, carrying crude oil, LSFO, containers, cement and project cargo respectively.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 42,278 tonnes including 29,187 tonnes of import, 13,091 tonnes of export cargo and 1,851 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Monday. The cargoes comprised of 5,131 tonnes of diesel oil; 5,801 tonnes of seeds; 6,000 tonnes of chemicals; 683 tonnes of cement and 24,663 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Five namely Al Soor-III, CV Hammurabi, CV Athena-I, CV MSC Bulgaria and MT Indradi sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. Eight ships namely Maersk Carolina, Gas Salwasi-I, Bow Bielia, Vema Ocean, Iran Kermanshah,Sea Star, Laila Queen and Bolan occupied the berth to load/offload containers, rice, cement, canola seeds, chemicals, LPG, palm oil, furnace oil, canola seeds and cement respectively during reported period.
Eight ships namely Hammurabi, Al Soor-II, Iran Kermanshah, Gizemendiz Sultan, Sea Star, Laila Queen, Bolan and Princess Layan carrying containers, diesel oil, canola seeds, chemicals and cement are currently at the outer anchorage.
Five ships namely CV Maersk Carolina, CV Nedlloyed Oceania, MT Bow Orelia, MT Vema Ocean and MT Gas Salwasi-I are expected to take berths at QICT, LCT, Fotco and EVTL respectively on Monday. Four more ships namely MV Syria Star, MV Rising Phoenix, MT Enrico Ievoli and MT Bunga Melati-4 are due to arrive at Port Qasim on the same day. While three more ships MT Sea Frontier, MT Funcheng and MT Liao are due to arrive on Tuesday.
