All the religious political parties have demanded the government to revise thoroughly its internal and external policies, particularly in relation to war on terror. Twenty-two religious parties of All Parties Conference (APC) announced its joint declaration here on Thursday, expressing its grave concern over the prevailing situation in the country.
The joint declaration demanded that Swat operation should be immediately stopped and all the issues should be resolved peacefully by way of dialogue, moreover, it said that a unanimous resolution should be passed by the parliament and its implementation should be ensured at any cost.
The joint declaration also condemned the desecration of mosques Imam barghas, shrines, religious seminaries and schools and killing of unarmed innocent civilians as a result of ongoing military operation. Moreover, it said that the solution of our problems lies in giving provincial autonomy and creating tolerance among all the sects of Muslims.
Speaking on the occasion Chief of Jamiat-e-Ulma Islam (F), (JUI-F), Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman said that Parliament had not been taken into confidence before starting Swat operation.
He further said that international forces were hatching conspiracies against Pakistan and all the political forces should be united against these forces, however, criticising the government he said that the parliament should have been taken into confidence before launching military operation, as all decisions are taken by one man and one man show is going on in our country, which would be harmful in future.
Former Amir Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan, Qazi Hussain Ahmed, said that the we will be wrong to that Nizam-e-Adal Resolution could not bring fruitful results, as it was not given sufficient time to be implemented. He said that the recent incidents were part of American conspiracies to destabilise Pakistan. Seminar was attended by Dr Sarfaraz Naeemi, Liaquat Baloch, Syed Niaz Hussain Naqvi and representatives of twenty-two religious parties APC.
