Unidentified armed persons Sunday morning gunned down the former council of ruling Pakistan People's Party (PPP) in the Guslitan-e-Jauhar police limits. According to police sources, 55-years old Juma Khan, son of Shaukat Khan was sitting at his hotel in the Juma Goth at 8:30 am, when two unidentified motorcyclists sprayed him with bullets and escaped from the crime scene.

The victim succumbed to his injuries on way to the Patel Hospital near Disco Bakery and his relatives returned from half way without carrying out legal formalities, police added. The funeral prayer of the deceased was offered outside his house and he was buried at Afghani graveyard near Sohrab Goth, police added.
