Five killed in Karachi violence

Five people including a woman and a child were killed in late night violence that erupted in different areas of the city on Friday, Aaj TV reported. Some miscreants gunned down a hotel owner in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area. In another incident, unknown attackers opened fire in Liaqatabad area, with the result a man was killed while another sustained bullet injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
In another firing incident a man lost his life in Liaquatabad Sindhi Hotel area. In Garden and Risala areas, unknown miscreants set two buses ablaze, in which a woman and child sustained burn injuries and later succumbed to their injuries. Following the violent incidents, armed men resorted to aerial firing in many areas of the city and forced shops and hotels to shut down.
