Punjab Medical Relief Camp established on the directions of Chief Minister Punjab at Mardan Medical Complex had treated 2334 patients in 2 days. According to an official from Mardan, Director General Health Punjab Dr Muhammad Aslam Chaudhry informed the health department that 905 female and 630 children were among the patients treated.
"Women Medical Officers visited different IDPs Camps and provided treatment facilities at doorstep whereas 240 serious patients were referred to the Medical Relief Camp at Mardan. Common diseases of children were Diarrhoea and Dysentery. Lady doctors conducted 35 normal deliveries while nine babies born through operations," he added.
