Serbian fourth seed Novak Djokovic reached the French Open second round on Tuesday when his opponent, Ecuador's Nicolas Lapentti, retired with an injury. Djokovic was leading 6-3, 3-1 when Lapentti called it quits after suffering a foot injury. The Serbian will play either Argentina's Brian Dabul or Sergiy Stakhovsky of Ukraine for a place in the last 32.
