After the suicide attacks in NWFP and Lahore, the government has beefed up security in the capital and hidden closed-circuit television cameras have been installed at the main entry points of Islamabad, especially on routes from the NWFP. According to the official sources, two closed-circuit television cameras were installed at the Toll Plaza and the Golra Sharif checkpost.
"All of them are connected to the Chief Commissioner's Office control room", said the official sources. According to the official sources, these cameras were installed at Seventh/Ninth Avenues, Zero Point, Radio Pakistan and other sensitive locations ahead of the long march and now are being used for monitoring the terrorist activities in the capital. Through these cameras, every movement in the capital will be keenly monitored.
